Short answer: you can take a boat trip in Sharm El Sheikh in any month. The sea stays between about 22 °C in winter and 28 °C in late summer, and rain is rare. Spring and autumn are the most comfortable for a full day at sea. In summer, plan around the midday heat. In winter, bring a warm layer for the ride back.

Spring (March to May)
Warm days and a sea that is still on the cool side, around 22 to 25 °C. Good for a full-day private charter. If you feel the cold in the water, ask whether the boat has wetsuits.
Summer (June to August)
The warmest sea of the year and the longest days, with air temperatures around 34 to 35 °C. Shade on deck matters, so a motor yacht or catamaran with a covered area is more comfortable than an open speedboat. Many guests choose a morning trip or a sunset cruise to avoid the strongest sun.
Autumn (September to November)
The sea is still warm, around 26 to 27 °C, and the air cools down. For many people this is the easiest season for a long day of swimming and snorkelling.
Winter (December to February)
Mild days around 20 to 22 °C and a sea around 22 to 25 °C. The days are shorter, so trips end earlier. Bring a jacket for the ride back, because it feels cooler on the water.
Wind and sailing bans
Averages do not show wind, and wind decides more than temperature at sea. The port authority can stop boats from sailing, and the captain can decide not to sail or to change the route for safety. If your trip cannot go ahead for either reason, you choose a new date or a full refund. The details are in our booking terms.
